Celebrated my birthday in Matlacha, FL and we went here on our first night for dinner. We enjoyed the food!

Delicious food and wonderful service. Arrived at the end of the evening and the staff was very friendly and helpful even as they were working on closing for the night. Pho was some of the best weve had.

Absolutely amazing homemade pho Ive only had a few authentic pho places in my life and this one here is one of them I would highly recommend swinging by here for a bowl if you have the time you will not be disappointed.

The shrimp fried rice is amazing. The portion was pretty large so pictured is about half of it scooped out on another plate. Nice for sharing. Very friendly owners and waiters as well, felt homely.

Excellent food in a cozy little place and for good pricing. I was pleasantly surprised at the speed to table of all items ordered, whixh included what we at in and a bunch of to go we had to have for later when we could eat again! Definitely will be back many times. Location is before the draw bridge so very accessible to off island visitors too.

All amazing, bad side was, two of my credit cards can't work. I spend over $10 of course. But my Gold Amex, or my Discover was to much I guess. I this point is so many restorants and food places that they quick for the high fees they give to the Banks. So again my Chime Cred.Build. back me up. Oh I loss my cool. Absolutely delicious!! The food is very fresh and flavorful. I love the iced jasmine tea. The pho is so refreshing. The owner is super sweet :)

My spouse and I have dined here many times. We enjoyed every dish here we have had. One time, I was craving Shaking Beef but it was not on their menu. I mentioned to the owner that I was missing them. He said it would be no problem making it. Boy did they make Shaking Beef with lots of love. It hit the spot and I was truly satisfied. We have moved further away to North Fort Myers but we happily continue to make our pilgrimage to Matlacha.
Tip: Try their fresh Lemonade.

Great family owned, small place with wife cooking & husband serving, cleaning up. Always top notch food consistently, over years. Remodeled kitchen & pass-thru window area, professionally cleaned tile grout. Old bench seats are replaced by brand new tables & chairs; they are more comfortable to sit in. The arrangement is better too. Keep in mind it's not a place to sit in groups of 6+. The exterior tiki hut is removed & replaced with 3 large outdoor umbrellas. Like a lot of places they are struggling to get help. Go with that in mind, because you'll wait. But it's worth it for what you get.

Nice tiny and shiny restaurant in Matlacha. I had the Raw Steak & Brisket Pho which came in a large bowl with sprouts, cilantro, jalapeno, lime etc on a side plate. The broth was the killer, not too spicy but rich and very tasty. The meat was nice and tender. Definitely I will be back for more from the menue.

Found a new gem on Pine Island. Very authentic and all made from scratch and fresh! Their Pho is amazing . And try the Thai Tea with milk.

Everything on the menu is delicious. They pack the pho up so its easy to take to go.

So good!!!! The vegetables were clearly very very fresh. There was five of us and we all got very different dishes and each came out fast and delicious. I personally had the seafood pho which had a very generous serving of seafood in it. I also had a hot jasmine tea that i highly recommend because they give a lot and its very strong tasting without being bitter at all. The food makes you feel good when you eat it because of how healthy they prepare it and the fresh ingredients.

Edit: I forgot to mention that the lemonade was made with real fresh lemons (which i know by the strong great taste.)

We have an abundance of terrific Asian cuisine in Portland, OR. It's great to be out of town and to still be able to get authentic, fresh, delicious familiar flavors. Can't wait to come back while we're in town!

I am originally from Asia and this is the best authentic pho soup I have ever had, as close to homemade as you can get.

What a wonderful find! I was not expecting much because Vietnamese restaurants are hard to find in this neighborhood. I come from Minnesota and there are an abundance of pho restaurants. We shared the fresh spring rolls and banh mi for starters. The spring rolls had shrimp in them with the normal filling (noodles and etc). I wanted to order the pho, but decided to go with the rice platter with egg rolls and grilled pork. The dish was delicious! There was a side salad that consisted of chopped romaine lettuce, shredded carrots, cucumbers, and tomato. I believe there was some kind of light dressing or sauce on it, but I mixed my grilled pork and ate it with that. The other two in my party ordered pho. The broth was flavorful and you could taste all the ingredients that is put in it. We added a little bit of fish sauce just to give it another layer of flavor and it made it that much better. Overall the place was small and cute. It was clean and busy! The food and service was great. The gal was busy, but the food came out at a reasonable time. I would come back and would recommend this place! It hit the spot.

I cant emphasize enough how much I love this place. I live 30 minutes away and will drive any day of the week for my favorite pho in the county. I get vegan pho and the broth is amazing! I havent been able to find another place that cares about their customers so much, while also serving amazing food! During this time theyve taken extra measures of keeping the pickup contactless and also sanitizing everything that is exchanged. Love this place!

They just catered our party and we let them pick out the menu and it was excellent. I cant thank them enough. I recommend them to anyone.

I Love Island Pho. Best food on Island.

Not only do we love Island Pho & Grill, but it is the ONLY pho in the area with a vegan option for vegetable broth in place of a meat-based broth. And the vegan options don't stop at the soup--there is an incredible tofu and sauteed vegetable meal with vermicelli that is super savory. I also love the vegetable spring rolls. They have a hidden, warm crisp inside that makes it stand out above any other Asian restaurant. Overall, mention you are vegan and you're all set (AND they know the difference between vegan to vegetarian, so there's no surprises based on your needs). I love the drive out to Matlacha for pick up. The owners and workers are so nice and always have my order right and ready when they say they will. I tell everyone about Island Pho!

The bomb

Its small and easy to miss but this is a hidden gem in swfl. Theres nothing fancy about the exterior or interior of this place but the food is great. I had the Pho special and a side of shrimp spring roll (I inhaled before the pic). The pho was perfect, even though I do prefer tendon & tripe in mine, which they do not have but the broth makes up for it. Many places have the brisket super dry but here it is soft & tender. Owners are very nice and I recommend you come in and see them.

PHO-reaking good!! Mmm, really though I was in a trance the entire time eating here because my food was so fantastic, and I constantly dream of how good it was now. The place is just the cutest, coziest Pho restaurant tucked right before the main drag of Matlacha and Pine Island, so it has the calm, local amongst busy tourists vibes. I got the seafood pho and Im telling you its straight up the best pho ive ever had. And im a big pho fan. It had shrimp, calamari, and scallops in it, and I finished the ENTIRE thing, which I have never done before.. Literally my one complaint could be that there was only one scallop and I wish there were more in it, but thats simply because Im a huge scallop fan as well so I will always want more of those. But all in all, a heckuva place and if youre looking for a really nice seafood place thats lesser known and different as well, then boom! Here you are!

Excellent seasonings on the pork fried rice and shrimp with vegetables and noodles. Didnt try the Pho, but Ill bet this is delicious as well. Best Vietnamese take out in SW Florida.

Fresh and delicious Vietnamese food! The service was fast and friendly. The location is small, but didn't feel crowded. It's right on the water so you can go out back and enjoy the view.

Best pho this side of town. Very clean establishment and very nice owners. Pho has very minimal MSG and home grown basil is always a plus

The tamarind shrimp was fantastic. The staff was so friendly. When we asked for recommendations, he enthusiastically got out his phone and started showing us pictures of all his favorites. It was truly a joy to eat there!

The prices were very reasonable as well - especially for the quality.

Our family loves going to Island Pho Grill! They are a family owned business that does a great job of serving fresh, flavorful food that tastes great. Clean restaurant and attentive service. They are also able to accommodate vegans and vegetarians with no problem. My favorites are the vegetable egg rolls and spring rolls, the fried rice, and they have these great avocado shakes (they are really good!). My kids really like the beef teriyaki, grilled salmon and shrimp platter and the crab rangoon, while my husband always gets the wonton soup with egg noodles. Definitely a must go to restaurant if you like fresh, Asian food!

Great little place in Matlacha on the road from Cape Coral to Pine Island. The food was fresh and flavorful and we loved everything about the place. Right on the water and very small. Cant wait to go back again!

Honestly, I did not expect to find one of the best vietnamese restaurants out in the middle of nowhere.
We started off with the sizzling vietnamese pancake with shrimp. This was fantastic!
Both my wife and I decided to get the vermicelli noodles. She got the pork, shrimp and eggroll combo and I got the lemongrass beef. These were also excellent!
The place is clean, service is good and the food is awesome.

This is some of the best Pho I have ever tasted in my life.
That beef broth they started the day before, plenty of raw beef sliced super-thin and added to the hot broth at the last second so it cooked in the bowl, mung bean sprouts and shredded fresh basil chunked in there with the noodles, squeeze a mess of lime juice in there for that final bit of oomph...GREAT noodles...and the server, name of Nathan, he put on some Vietnamese folk music on the house stereo for us.

The restaurant is loaded with understated charm, has outdoor seating on the water, and is open for lunch and dinner, 11 am to 8 pm.

Like the Governator would say, "We'll be back."
